  • Regular meetings with SHDC.

  • Involvement with our business forums.
  • Direct link to M.P., Economic Development, Police, Highways etc.

Provide Networking Opportunities for Members and Create Business Opportunities

  • Regular members meetings.
  • Business networking event(s).
  • Member E-Shots.
  • Membership benefits e.g. Guardian Vouchers/ Credit card terms.

Promote South Holland

  • Tourist Forum.
  • Website and magazine.
  • Events - Xmas Lights and Other Events.

Increase Membership within the South Holland area from all Business Sectors

  • Through Profile, Marketing and Promotion:
  • Press releases.
  • Meetings.
  • Forums.
  • Spalding magazine.
  • Spalding Chamber website.
  • Social Media.

Help our Members Grow and Develop their Business

  • Provide or facilitate training.
  • Information on county/district activities.
  • Enhanced Business Support and Research.
  • Help to reduce costs through partnership and membership benefits (Chamber benefits, Utility co-operations, Newspaper offers).
  • Reduce impact of crime on businesses.
  • Networking opportunities via the Forums - Logistic, Retail, Business Networking, Tourism and Holbeach.

Extract external Funding to aid Local Business

  • Identifying projects that will aid the local economy.
  • Produce business cases with the funders.
  • Additional Xmas lights.

Improve the South Holland Experience

  • Encourage the town to be clean, safe, welcoming and accessible.
  • Safe – engagement with Police, PCSO, support of CCTV, Shopwatch, Street Pastors and perhaps Pubwatch.
  • Welcoming –Spalding in Bloom and Xmas lights.
  • Accessible - Sign posting, car parking, Springfields link, public transport.


  • Whilst perhaps not cash generating but certainly not loss making - pick up public service jobs.
